What is the total amount of research funding that UF receives from external sources?

In FY 1999-2000, UF received a record $339.4 million in research funding, including $175.1 million in federal grants and contracts, $46.5 million in state and local grants, $60.3 million from private foundations, and $48 million from industry. Detailed annual reports of these statistics are published by the Office of Research and Graduate Programs (RGP). The FY 99-00 RGP Annual Report and copies of previous years’ annual reports can be ordered from the RGP Research Publications Office, POB 115500, University of Florida, Gainesville FL 32611. The Office of Institutional Research also keeps UF statistics and national rankings in a number of areas, including several research-related categories.
