I am a UF student just beginning work on a thesis project. Someone told me that I have to have permission to do research at UF, especially if my research involves either human subjects or animals. Where can I find out what I need to do?

Research involving human subjects and animals is heavily regulated by the Federal Government, and UF has in place procedures and oversight committees to make sure the University is fully compliant with all regulations and that humans and animals used in research are protected. For general research policies, please refer to the “Researcher’s Handbook“.
