How do I request a roommate?

Roommate preference is indicated when you complete the Residence Hall Agreement, the housing contract sent to you after you have been accepted to UF as a student, and submitted a housing application and $25 non-refundable housing application fee.
Roommate preference must be mutual, meaning the person you choose as a roommate must choose you as a roommate preference as well.
Room assignments are made by priority to those who complete their application and contract first. For roommates, room assignment priority will be based upon the contract received date from the last roommate to send their contract. Roommate assignment will also depend upon space availability.
