If I am awarded a Florida Bright Futures Scholarship, is it necessary for me to also fill out a UF Financial Aid Application to receive the Florida Bright Futures scholarship?

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only application that students must complete to be considered for federal aid programs and institutional and state need-based programs at UF. The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship programs are not need-based, so it is not necessary to complete a FAFSA. However, to get Florida Bright Futures you do have to submit a Florida Financial Aid Application to the state of Florida during your last year in high school. You may complete this application on-line or submit a hard copy application available through your high school guidance counselor.

The Office for Student Financial Affairs (SFA) in S-107 Criser Hall, is UF’s financial aid office.
