How do I apply for a Federal Subsidized Stafford Loan?

Eligibility for the Federal Direct Stafford Loan (which is subsidized) is based on need and computed in the same way as eligibility for other need-based aid. You will be applying for a Federal Stafford Loan when you complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and send it to the processor. It is important to start this process early.
