When are admitted students notified of their financial aid award or of any merit scholarships they will receive?
When UF has received your electronic FAFSA information from the federal processor, and you have been admitted to UF, if you are eligible for aid, the Office for Student Financial Affairs (SFA) will award you an aid package based on your demonstrated need. UF awards aid on a first-come, first-served basis, and priority is given to students who meet the March 15th “on-time” application deadline. SFA will begin the award notification process in late March and will contine to mail award letters throughout the spring and summer months.
Merit scholarships are not awarded by SFA. Students are notified by the various offices or departments that are responsible for recipient selection.
For more information see SFA’s Aid Programs page.
