Are freshmen required to live on campus?

Student living arrangements are an important consideration as you plan for college.
At UF, students are not required to live on campus, however more than 80% of incoming freshmen choose to live in university housing. You can find more information on the UF Housing site. Housing assignments are made on a first come, first served space-available basis.
Freshmen: Applying early and responding to the Division of Housing in a prompt manner will receive priority for campus housing. After applying to UF, please pay attention to all Housing literature arriving in the mail and respond accordingly.
