Are freshmen required to live on campus?

Student living arrangements are an important consideration as you plan for college.

At UF, more than 80% of incoming freshmen choose to live in university housing.

Freshmen and transfer students admitted for Summer B are required to live in campus housing for their first Summer B semester if they secure a housing contract for Fall/Spring.

You can find more information on the UF Housing site. Housing assignments are made on a first come, first served space-available basis.

Freshmen: Applying early and responding to the Department of Housing and Residence Education in a prompt manner will receive priority for campus housing. After applying to UF, please pay attention to all Housing literature arriving in the mail and/or via email and respond accordingly.
